What’s covered

  1. Assistant Instructor Course (3-4 days). Foundation of teaching: presentation skills, classroom management, PADI standards.
  2. Open Water Scuba Instructor Course (5+ days). Teaching skills for all PADI courses up to Rescue Diver.
  3. Emergency First Response Instructor (1-2 days). Qualifies you to teach EFR (CPR/first aid).
  4. Instructor Examination (2 days). The official PADI exam. Conducted by a PADI Examiner who flies in.
  5. Teaching practice (4 weeks, optional but strongly recommended). Teach real students under supervision. Build confidence before your first solo course.
  6. Employment workshop. CV review, dive shop application coaching, introductions to our network.

Prerequisites

  • PADI Divemaster (or equivalent: SSI, TDI, NAUI accepted)
  • 60+ logged dives to start the IDC, 100+ for the IE
  • Certified diver for 6+ months
  • EFR Primary and Secondary Care current within 24 months
  • Dive medical within 12 months
  • 18+ years old
